Wind Chill Warning
Statement as of 5:04 PM CST on January 06, 2015
The wind chill warning is now in effect from 3 am to 10 am CST Wednesday.
* Wind chill values...generally from 35 to 40 degrees below zero.
* Timing...the coldest conditions will be around sunrise.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A wind chill warning means the combination of very cold air and strong winds will create dangerously low wind chill values. This will result in frostbite and lead to hypothermia or death if precautions are not taken.
Many schools are already closing for tomorrow due to bitter wind chills near -40 below. Oh well that's life in Minnesota. Twin Cities Metro schools are closing besides the rural schools. Stay safe and Stay Warm.

Welcome to Alaska, my friend. Bundle up!
If you want to know your weather tomorrow ask us in Saskatchewan today!
Rev. we are not leaving home tomorrow. spent the last two days making sure we are set with food and supplies.
Hey Denis, Thanks for stopping by. Its always nice to have our friends north of us to share their weather. big grin.
They have already cancelled school here in a number of the mountain counties. We are expecting high winds and single digit temperatures. I am afraid we are not as well prepared for such weather as you folks up there.
So far this one is hitting us as usual, blowing straight in from the North to Northwest and not really causing any issues but it's early yet :) My defenses are holding. Water line to the barn is shut off and drained and the little heater I have down there is keeping up but it's only down to 15 so far so we reportedly have another 20 degrees or more to drop yet.
Gonna be interesting... Keep warm!!!'
we are not as bad as you are..but it will be in the low teens here with wind chills near zero. and minus ones in the mountains. I am hoping that they delay the start of school tomorrow and Friday. However Friday makes no sense in that it is a half day and kids will be out at 10:30. Might just keep mine home...
PS: Stay safe and keep warm..don't venture out unless you need too and keep that baby bundled up.. : )
