I'm sure many of you have heard about the explosion at the private school here in MN. Well we have a family connection to the school and those killed yesterday. My wife Debbie, attend school there, Class of 1982. She knew the janitor that died. He was working there back then. The receptionist that died, my wife had talked to over the last 17 years that the women worked there, When my wife called about class reunions, and alumni announcements.
The school is 2 blocks east of the elementary school I attended. Which makes it 7 blocks south of my grand parents old home, and 7 blocks east of my home in South Minneapolis. When I went to my school I always wondered why that other school was so close back in the day. We attended several events at MA. The section of the school that was damaged, my wife had her English classes there.
Even after we married and moved away, there was still a connection. Several of my kids played in sports, and would have games vs MA. My yongest Hannah just did this past school year;
Needless to say my wife as been deep in thought remembering those folks today, and taking with an old friend she attended school with.
Stay Safe my friends, life can change at any time even if we can't control it.

Do they know what cause the explosion?
Gas Leak, Someone yelled "GET OUT" then boom,, Feds are investigating, FBI, NTSB, etc....plus city county, and state, Centerpoint Energy too. I think it was their line
It will be interesting to find out why this happened, faulty gas equipment, untrained people working on the system or sabotage?
May the Lord hold you closely during this time of reflection, and may His comfort be always there.
At this point, it could be anything. Being its a private christian school, I think that's why the Feds are looking into it. If Obama was in office, the Feds wouldn't care. Trump sure has turned things around.
Thanks for the kind words sir
Mike. it was announced today that a gas meter was being moved or had been, So now it looks like the contractor will get sued big time. When I hear more I'll let you know
Wow - the line should have been isolated, purged, tested and monitored constantly when any component, instrument or other work is being done. Sounds like there should be a lawsuit. The losses are so sad. I started paying attention as soon as I heard - our son competed for 4 years against students from MA in regional Latin competitions in Fargo. You are n our prayers as are the folks at MA. Redder
Redder, Thanks for stopping by. It could have been worse. School is starting soon That part of the school could have had close to 100 students in class rooms. MPLS PS offered them a school to use in North Minneapolis. It would take close to an hour or better to get there and back. Then toss in rush hour AM, and PM, now snow. I'm sure they said pass.
