While it hard to watch whats going on in TX, and see how crazy folks are in Florida buying supplies, gas, etc. Like what do we do now??
All we can do is pray and hope for the best. My kids are still in contact with people in Fla. Oh the stories we are hearing they are INSANE.
I just sit and think about what supplies we have on hand. Dry, canned and frozen. My wife is amazed at the fact she can ask, we need to go to the store and get such and such. I look at her and say "oh that's on this rack in the kitchen." "Oh she says never mind." My kids think I have a diet soda issue. Why? because I have 12 2 litter bottles and 3 12 packs. Buy on sale. I have let some stuff get low, but I know we are better off the most folks. Thank you to all my friends I have made writing blogs.
Folks this is a wake up call. You need to store what you need. If you don't your behind the times. Our garden started out small this year, but I have plans in my mind of a bigger one next year. Those 2 litter are full of water when empty.
I kept getting interrupted writing this so I decided to post what I had written. That happens to me a lot. My train of thought gets derailed and its hard to get back on track..

I have been hearing about folks in the path of Irma who waited too long and the supplies were gone from the stores by the time they decided they needed them. Same with gas - folks stranded on the side of the road because they couldn't find a station that still had gas to sell. We might not have hurricanes to deal with, but we sure have tornadoes and blizzards. There is no way I want to be caught short, even in the best of times.
Its just crazy. Even with Mn having enough gas, I keep my tank full, with the price hikes. Cheaper to refill between 1/2 and 3/4 then empty. This goes to show all of us bloggers, NO ONE WAS READY.
