Let Us Never Forget.....

76 years ago today, so many lives changed. So many would make the ultimate sacrifice over the next 4 years. Let us never forget what happened on this date Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor was attacked and the US entered WW 2.

A survivor of this day, and a veteran of WW 2 would come into the lives of so many youth in Lakewood California. Mr Johnson, better known as LCDR Johnson. would leave a lasting impression on so many of us who took his course in high school...NAVY JROTC. I for one will never forget. Thank you LCDR. R.I.P.

Seventy six years ago my grandmother put the car in a snowy ditch. My mother was 12 years old and with her on a trip to see my great-grand parents. They say you remember where you were when you first hear about certain events (I know where my kids and I were when the radio news started on 9/11). I even know where my mom and grandmother were the day Pearl Harbor was bombed. Redder

Redder, Your comment ended up in my spam folder. I always had a feeling about Pearl Harbor, before I meet LCDR Johnson. I was in Hawaii in 1970 and again in 1975. It was 1976 when I meet LCDR Johnson. I remember my location when the first gulf war started, Same for 9/11 and even the O.J. murder trial. It was because of the after effects of 9-11 that I got my job back at an airline. They shut down, Chap 11 and they restarted I reconnected with a former co worker. He hired me back.
