I Last Posted When???

Yes, I am still around. Thanks to Mike for asking what is going on. Its been crazy around my house. The weather has been a bitch. The best word I can use. We have had a very cool April so far. Plus 18" snow storm a week ago. That's all just about melted. Temps finally warming up into the 60"s. I even wore shorts around the house yesterday.

So let me get you up to speed here in Cokato. My youngest daughter moved out just before the holidays. Went to live with her 2nd oldest brother. Well, She decided to move out of there around early April. She now has her own apartment and a roommate. My oldest son, who moved back from Florida this time last year, has returned to living at home. With his dog. My youngest son has worked so many hours, he lost track of all time.

My grandson will be starting preschool in Sept. and regular school in 2019. Here in Mn, all students have to be tested for special needs. Well, that was a joke. They seem to speed these kids through tests in 90 min. Then tell you that they must come back for more in-depth testing. I think these liberal idiots need to go through testing. Don't get me started on that. So Sammy is finishing up that round of crap. You think my wife and daughter have been stressed??  Well, my wife stressed out my daughter. That story is for another time.

If you remember I took time away from CAP, grew tired of lack of leadership at the top of our unit. I was gone for 14 weeks. Decided to man up, and go back. I returned to doing supply officer. Well, long story short NOT ONE member picked up the slack in supply. I returned in early February and still behind. Nothing ordered, no replacement items or issued any uniforms. Now not only am I supply, but I took over as Logistics Officer. I am now my boss.

But wait there is more. I took a one day class on Leadership and working with cadets. Took on advanced online course-test for Cadet Protection. Learned about spotting abuse and alike. Oh and because at some point I would like to achieve the rank of Captain, I had to take an 8-week online course for CAP Level 3.  CAP has 5 Levels of Leadership. I will stop at Captain as it is the middle rank.
Our unit had its yearly cadet lock-in. That was always fun. We ate 60 pizzas and assorted goodies. It was attended by 170 CAP Members.

Did I ever tell you, folks, I'm retired?? Well, my friends, I think that should bore you enough.

Stay Safe...Until next time, I can find time.....

Sounds like all that activity will either keep you young or wear you out. We'll hope for the former.

Good to hear from you Rob. Glad all is well with the family. Because you live in a terribly cold and snow area we always enjoy reading and learning how you survive in such extreme winters. Enjoy the summer because winter is coming again. ha
