Call it gut instinct, God speaking to me, or what have you. Its kind of a feeling that is hard to pin point. Ok Rob, get you crap together. Pulled the A/C units out today. Doing some shopping tomorrow and I have added heavy window plastic to my list for all the indoor windows. Thought about putting on the outside, but its easier just to do the inside no ladders needed. I may do those over the weekend Sam loves to help me.
We have started to wash, blankets, and winter jackets. I was planning on this next week, but that feeling is do it now. I broke down and put away my shorts for the season. Wearing pants. Temps in the upper 40's 50 does that to you.
Started taking my winter mix of vitamins..multi, added C, and zinc in the wings. We have not turned on the heat but the time is running out for holding off. Friday its time to vacuum out all the heat vents, check the filters in the furnace. Replaced them before winter ended should be clean yet, but I will check just the same.
With the cooler weather I'm drinking more coffee. I may break down and get some flavoring to add. too bland. Hey if any one has watched any prep videos on youtube and you think they are any good, let me know. I have seen some good ones and some that you scratch your head at and say "wait, What""??
Well, thats it for now, Stay Safe and Warm

It's always good to follow the example of the OLD TIME Boy Scouts and be prepared.
In Mn during the winter you have to be. Some many don't. One thing that I have learned from reading blogs is the old rule, need 1 buy 2 etc. Can come in handy. The wife will say you need to go to the store for....In the pantry or on the silver rack. i tell her.
It is this prepping thing that lets you and I sit inside, all cozy and warm, while everyone else is fighting icy roads to buy a loaf of bread before the blizzard gets too bad. :)
Right. I get nervous when we get down to our last 4 pack of quad rolls of TP. Bread too. last loaf tonight. Good for tomorrow but after that zero. I'm no where near what I should be at. But the good thing is we are down down to a family of 4. 3 adults and grandson, oh and 3 fat tomcats. My other kids are moved out. My oldest moved out recently, again . Our water bill has gone down about $14.00 a month. Now that money can be used to buy dry goods.
The wife went back to work for a few weeks to earn money for new brakes on the van. Its was so stressful, I told her to quit. Which she did. The oldest daughter is now working that the GS is in school full time. She is working for the local catering business.
She loves it, its a mom n pop store. She is learning so much more. The owner did corporate dining for about 20 years. And started her catering business. I told the daughter it like going to culinary school without taking on any student loans. She only works a few days a week. Which is great for her, as she hasn't worked since before the GS was borne. he's almost 6 now.
Sounds like you all have been busy. We try to stay up on our supplies all year long but sometimes things get in the way and stuff doesn't get written down.... like T.P..... which isn't too bad since I'm at work most days but it is those 2 days off in a row that catch ya off guard! hahaha So now I find notes in my purse to 'please pick up....' ;^)

Its hard to keep up on supplies. I was caught off guard on some fresh items this week. Mustard, mayo, butter. When my son lived with us he would only pick up what was needed. No extra. Now its caught up with us.
