Propane Shortage ??

Why then, if their is a shortage, do we not hear anything until the farmers are knee to waist deep in the harvest??  This rubs me the wrong way. Just like when the commodity traders think we are short of crude oil.   This story is from Fox Business.com

(Reuters) - At least eight U.S. Midwest states declared emergencies in recent weeks over regional shortages of propane needed by grain farmers to dry their crops amid a late harvest and wet weather.
Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin eased restrictions on the transport of propane to help alleviate the local shortages.

There is no nationwide shortage and residential propane prices recently were about 22 percent below that of a year ago.
Spring flooding in U.S. Midwest farming states led to late harvests that have triggered a surge in demand for the fuel used to reduce moisture in corn crops to ready for sale or to safely store the grain.

I smell something strange here, and its not the order of a dead associate of Billary.

What do you think?? Is it just the farmers or is it home owners too.

Stay Warm.........Rob

Pete right?? A union truck drivers scam. Or maybe an owner of a company that doesn't want to pay O.T.??

It does appear to be a shortage of drivers and not a propane shortage. Some states have acted to increase the propane driver hours which will help but it's still unthinkable that we have to be on the brink of large crop losses due to weather for a wake-up call.

I guess your right. I guess this is what happens when the economy is off the charts. Jobs go unfilled. Too bad the left doesn't see how good things have become when a non political official runs the White House. Can you imagine what it would be like if Congress(House)got things done??
