Crash Site

A flag erected minutes ago near a Blackhawk helicopter crash that killed three members of the MN National Guard. The Krippner family, which owns the land where the chopper went down, put up the flag to show their respect. They say a permanent flagpole will be erected later.

This was story was posted by local news media. Our Gov. ordered all state and federal flags at half staff until Monday. Names will be released tomorrow 24 hrs after the crash.

Sometimes those who put themselves in harm's way must pay the ultimate price. May God grant peace to their families, and may their memories bring only joy.

So very true. I have been thinking about this crew. While I did not know them, I walked the same halls on Monday nights for the last 6 years With the CAP squadron who meets at their base. We all, Guard and CAP walked through the same doors, touched the same handles, breathed the same air. Touch their aircraft when taking a tour. I felt a bond to them. I will always hold a place in my heart for these heroes who paid the price for my freedom. Their cash site is 20 miles from my home. I will think of them often.
