Heavy Heart

Yesterday was a sad day in the MN Military Family. A blackhawk helicopter from the MN Air National Guard crashed while on a maintenance test flight. Radio contact was lost 9 min after departure from St Cloud Mn airport, All 3 crew members died.

This aviation unit is based at two Mn airports. Half at St Paul Downtown airport. the other half is at St Cloud. CAP has units that meet at both base locations. I attended the St Cloud unit for 6 years. They are part of the 34th Infantry, U.S. Army. My son Scott is with the 1st Armored Div of the 34th.

News spread very fast as the helo went missing. The Guard even sent up one of their big Chinooks to help with the search.State Patrol aircrew found the down Blackhawk. The crash site is 20 miles west northwest from my town.

Please keep their families in your prays as it is so close to Christmas.
