Doesn't Happen In Just The Big Cities Any More.

Damage Estimated At More Than $1 Million

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO TV) — Two 13-year-old boys have been taken into custody in connection to a fire at a Hutchinson Walmart.
According to Hutchinson police, officers and fire crews responded at around 3:01 p.m. Sunday to an active fire at the Walmart Supercenter on 1300 Hwy 15 S in Hutchinson. There, police say a fire was started in the men’s clothing department that activated the fire suppression system.
When officers arrived, there was still a small fire burning. Officers stopped the fire with fire extinguishers.
An investigation determined the fire was deliberately set, and two 13-year-old Hutchinson boys were identified using store surveillance. The boys were later located and taken into custody.

This is the Walmart we have shopped at in the past. 2 of my kids lived in Hutchinson for awhile. The Best Buy they worked at is just across the street. The question of the day is..WHERE THE HELL WHERE THE PARENTS???

Stay Alert, and Safe my friends...

I can't believe that no employee grabbed an extinguisher.

Hopefully WalMart runs fire drills and their main objective is to usher out all the shoppers first. I know, it's a lot to hope for!

I'm sure the employees are more concerned with customer safety. The fire sprinklers kicked in. It only takes minutes for the P.D. to get there. The station is about mile or two north. IIRC HFD is Volunteer.

Where were the parents? Likely as not heisting a bunch of high ticket items at the same time...............yep, I am that cynical (or maybe just being a realist).
