New Selfie
I took a selfie and this is what happened. I look like Johnny Bravo from Cartoon Network.
Its been a rough week lots of ups and downs. I saw my Dr last Thursday, she did blood work. glucose was high at 229, but everything else was perfect, like CDL/HDL or what ever. We talked about my depression which as been kicking my rear end, but bad this summer. She added a different medication which seems to help. I'm not sure what is going on. The terror attacks, race wars, politics, my kids or what it is. My Dr is again talking about mental health talks, i'm dragging my feet on that.
As you knew we had the shooting and roits here in Minneapolis a week ago. Too much crazy stuff going down. This is not the MN I grew up in, nor my kids, I guess. This is another post I wrote but didn't post until now.
Stay Safe All...........Rob

It is really hard not to get down with all the insanity around us. You are right about MN not being the same as it once was. But I think the same is true no matter where you are. Sometimes I just need to unplug and go do something that brings me happiness. Do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself. You have friends here who care about you and pray for you.
You know what they say: nostalgia ain't what it used to be. :)
But I hear you, loud and clear. Vicki's recommendation about unplugging is a great idea. I've been doing a great deal of that, lately.
Most of the time my unplugging is listening to Spotify online music. I have like 90 hrs of music saved. I don't watch much local news, and just Fox News in the am. I do have several airline and aviation web sites.
With the world wide web, we get news and information in seconds vs hours, or even weeks. Can you see news coming by pony express.
If we have to return to that stage, I suspect we'll be too busy with day-to-day survival to worry much about the lack of news. On the other hand, it'll mark the return of the wandering minstrel. :)
Ye old town crier. I just had a thought, could anyone run a telegraph??
