I'm sorry to have to do this but I have chosen to restrict who can post replies to my blog. You now have to be a member of my blog. I have been getting battles between anonymous folks. My issue is with the Blog Troll Patrol. Those losers who still think Obama, and the Liberal Left is the way to run our country. I think these guys would side with the Crown of colonial times.
I hope everyone understands my decision. Otherwise I may close this blog and open a different one.

At the pleading of my (adult) children, I created a Facebook account. I soon realized I was doing the same thing; having protracted arguments with total strangers! They were actually less arguments than attempts by me to justify my right to exist and express opinions after being told I had neither. After posting a reply to someone about Bernie Sanders; nothing nasty; just an educated observation; I was barraged with all manner of flaming arrows loosed by people who had clearly limited wisdom but a wealth of feelings of entitlement. After this happened, I stood back and had to ask myself "Why?" That was the end of Facebook for me. If the young 'uns want to show me pictures, they can e-mail 'em!

I think everyone has run into the same problem with most but not all Anon’s. Some Anon’s are legitimate and have serious questions or comments. The others are a problem, if they were as smart as the claim to be why don’t they start their own blog?
So what I’ve done is to set the blog to “approve” every comment. The Anon’s who are serious get published. The problem Anon’s don’t get published this also applies to those with an identity but have bad attitudes. Ignore them and they eventually go away!
Free speech is overm? I love Obama and Black Americans too. I do not like haters, racists and Trump voters.
seems to be a thing, with the Lib-Trolls descending on a site until the owner HAS to lock down the comments. Home On The Range had to do the same, as have a couple others.

Hope I wasn't part of the problem. I only have time for much of this when school is out (and it is starting again). Working in education I think I am "safer" not being very public about anything and as the sole household support. Best of luck! Redder
Redder, no worries. As long as you keep posting as Redder i know who is who. i had a Annon. that would say stuff that was targeted to my family. Yes you can pick on me, my family is off limits.
I thought I might be ok - I like to get after others once in a while - but like to work with verifiable facts or at least logic and good old (un)common sense. I find it is always good to check and apologize if I have been out of line. I pick a name (or somehow get one - it works!) and stick with it - I think it is a fair way to let others know who they visit with.
As a teacher I am quite patient, but that only lasts so long when students expect others to do their work, are not willing to try, are not willing to listen or just get emotional or have a hissy fit without even listening to the what I or others have to say.
I agree with you on the family aspect of things. I didn't like the news going after Sarah Palin's kids and I don't like them going after Chelsea Clinton either - at least as youngsters. Should either choose to step into the spotlights as adults then what happens happens. I was quite disgusted by the guy that harassed Ivanka Trump and her kids while they were flying coach. REALLY? The MILLIONS of dollars we taxpayers could have been spared had the current White House occupants shown that kind of fiscal restraint! I would have been upset had he gone after Obama's wife and kids had they flown coach - but we know that would never happen.... Redder
