Monday (today), will be just a regular day to me, but I will add another year of experience to the odometer of life. Mine ticks over to 57. Nothing planed, nothing special requested.
Sunday,we had Chinese food, chicken chow mien. I'm not allowed to cook, as the custom in our home. If its your birthday, you stay out of the kitchen. I asked the family, no cake, no ice cream. no candles, no brush fire, or chance of setting the place on fire.
I am getting the best birthday gift a guy could get when my oldest son is back home from Florida. Jordon was just home last month for his grandpa's funeral. He has had to come home twice in the last 18 months for his Grand parents interment. I think that pushed him to come home..
Well That its for today. We had snow yesterday not sure how much, but hey I'll take as much as mamma nature sends our way. Why well it is March and it won't stay long....

Glad to hear Jordon is coming back home. It's not good to have the family separated by distance and especially if in the military like my son was for 20 years. Because he was almost always deployed years could go by without seeing him. He now lives and works in Dallas, at least now we can see each other yearly but it is costly to make the trip by flying or 20+ hours of driving one-way.
Thanks Mike, It will be nice to have everyone in one state. My second oldest is just 10 min away. Everyone else is under my roof...
