Isn't it a blessing to know that, as the coldest days of winter approach, the sun arrives sooner and stays longer as a promise of warmer days to come.
I’m ready for more daylight. This waking up in the dark and coming home in the dark is getting old.
I just posted about our Christmas forecast. It will be somewhat rainy, with a high temperature of 71 degrees. I'll take it. My Winter is like your Summer, and no matter how you look at it, wherever you are, Mother Nature will try to kill you sometime during the year.
I look at it as we are on the bottom of the hill, get the climb out so to speak
I know the feeling. My youngest daughter has been starting work at 4 am, off at noon. She is home two or three hrs and its dark again. Several days of overcast and no sun does not help either
The weather guessers are saying big storm coming after Christmas. BUT storm track we can't pin down. Why is it during the summer they can pin a storm down to the block, but winter they have no clue.
Snow to pass through here, then on its way to you... sharing the wealth. This last storm was more wind than anything. We'll see how it all fares out.
I'm happy for the 1st day of Winter and looking forward to more sunshine. Like you, though, not much sunshine as of late. Bah humbug! ;^)

Hobo, after working at our International Airport for many, many years I still tend to keep an eye on the weather. It always affected flight operations. Now living out in rural america I tend to keep an eye on it still. Blowing and drifting is big out in the sticks vs in town
