In my honest opinion I say no. It snows year round. It changes into rain to fool you. Then when you lest think about it...Its back cold and white. No I'm not on any drugs....OK I am but the Dr says they help me coup with life.
Signs of spring have been noted...Creeks and rivers still running fast, still flooding low lying areas. You drive along look over and say what a wonderful place to build a home. it is so the spot you have to have. Then come spring you drive by again...oops never mind it floods out. moving on. As you are cruising down the road you see this massive creature on the road. Lord we've been invaded by the other aliens...No not them from south of the boarder. IOWANS, Its the farm equipment. Massive tractor, oh oh oh, she's huge. Pulling a even bigger rack of plow blades.
Lord almighty. It takes up both sides of the road. When you finally get around, look over and its just the old guy next door. He tilled is small 1/2 acre garden. The co op has its crews running all over the county hitting every field with out a tree. oh oh oh...Still feather down the road more equipment in a field. What are they planting already we just had snow yesterday.?? Looks like rocks?? Ok so rocks are now the new "green" crop?? Oh its potatoes. Yummy, french fired, hot, greasy, hash browns, hot and greasy...scallops hot fresh from the oven...mouth watering goodness.
You snap back from your dreams traffic has stopped. But wait we aren't in the city. Its not rush hour. ??? puzzled you look over to the side of the road...You scream..NOOOO The dreaded orange and black sign.."ROAD CONSTRUCTION" but its too early we just had snow an hour ago. detour this way, ok fine, driving, detour that way, ok fine you drive this way. You stop. Look around Wait what, I was just here an hour ago. How do I end up back here again??? Oh county says road needs repair, ok, State says this road needs repair. But wait all they have done is detoured me in a circle. !5 min goes by. Oh look its snowing again road constrution is over winter is back...

Yeah, here we have Winter and July. I feel for you.
Snow: they say over in Wyoming it never melts - just blows around until it wears out.
heh.... it was 22 this morning. A least no 'real' snow. Any fool that was running a pivot or cannon had a beautiful patch of ice.
I remember the first year we moved here. It was July and we had WIND (the kind to peel the tin off the outbuildings), then rain, then hail, then snow and grapple. In about 10 minutes... then it all changed back into summer and beautiful blue skies. But, hey, it's only Idaho weather. At least that is what they tell us. ;^)
We call it winter and road construction
BB Thanks for stopping by.Now that's funny
hobo, our last snow storm had dust from TX in it. My daughter asked me why the snow was dirty. Sure looked strange. This happened as the storm was winding down. very lite brownish tan
Yes, that too.
I don't know, Rob about the dust from Texas getting up that far. There's a lot of dusty states between here and there...OK, Kansas, S. Dakota. Brownish tan sounds like Black Hills dirt...unless of course you speak of the dirt coming across our southern border?
extexanwannabe, it was dust from TX. The weather folks showed a satellite image that showed a large high alt dust cloud. What appeared on the ground here was a fine coating of a very lite brown dust. It was not noticed until after the storm was just about done. I wasn't thinking of the slim coming across the southern boarder, nor the east African slim that has entered MN. I just wish someone would clean up the one in DC. does not represent the views of MN.
