I'm still stressed, but not depressed. talked with oldest son in Florida this morning, He said the state was told it will be a bad storm. He has a good attitude considering no car, his was fired from his job as he wouldn't work today with the storm approaching. He was going to take a leave of absence, but the Asst. GM let him go. After the storm passes he will be homeless. I pray he will be safe, or that some way he and his dog will make it back up here to MN some how. He said not to worry, that You and mom taught us to be tough. Hard to talk when your choked up. I told him he didn't have to call but an "I'm OK, Skye is too" text would do.
We are getting rain here again, and that crappy white stuff is forecast for Northern MN tonight....

Ouch. Long haul back to Minn from Florida. It's tough to be without any fall back family for a young man these days. He can find himself unemployed in the blink of an eye.
Preppy may be correct, but I believe the Lord may have another plan. Watch for some really good things to come your son's way.
Homeless cause he was fired ? No home when he had a job ? Quite strange.

Still praying for your son. Perhaps getting walking papers from Florida was the best thing that could have happened to him. "Forced relocation" is always difficult but often very positive. Perhaps he can take a bus to Minnesota.
Annon. He was taking a LOA, but they let him go instead. He was going to be homeless anyway, his roommate moved out on him. without notice. Ha can't afford the rent on his own.
PP we now that, He wanted to be on his own. he has struggled every step of the way. Florida is a rough state to live if your single. He knows he can come home anytime. We even struggled with 3 of us working. Disney pays piss poor, we had three of us working there.
Padre, I know things will work out, we all struggled in Florida. That is the main reason we moved back to MN. Jobs don't pay well any more. No space industry almost at all. WM here is paying $12.00 in the deli. Not that in Fla.
Thanks Vicki, central Florida was spared most of the damage. Its my son's struggles that have me stressed the most. Jordon is a good kid. Keeps his nose clean. We joke about the friend curse. He has a ton of friends but no girl friend. I was the same way.
i checked into Greyhound $175.00 O.W. But he has personnel items, like bed etc. plus a dog. We all have wanted him to return to MN, since he drove back down 4 years ago. He is as stubborn as me.
