My dear blogger friends I find that right now I don't have time to post. There is just so much going on right now. I was sadden to find out another member of my extended family passed away last night. My Dad lost his brother last night. Not sure of the cause but I believe it was his heart, as he had a pacemaker placed a few years ago.
As I talked with my dad today, he said that he has survived everyone. His parents, his mom's brother and sister, my mom and his own sister and now brother. My uncle had just turned 70 last week, my dad is the oldest of 3 kids, he is 72. My dad and I have grown apart over the last dozen years since my mom passed on. My cousin gave me some advice tonight and said "you know your dad is not getting any younger". I know she is right. I have a brother we are not close at all anymore. Time heals all wounds, and I feel I need to get on better terms with my Dad.
I have been reflecting on the passing of my family from my grand father back in 1971, all the way to my mother in law and now my uncle. While I know know one lives forever, you think family will be around for ever.
Each day I grow tired of all the doom and gloom BS from just about all media. I am sick of the Clinton lies and the growing popularity of Donald Trump. Sure he can talk the talk and people like that, but could you see him talking with other world leaders. Maybe that's what this country needs. Today I learned we give Mexico $14 Billion in aid and what do they do, but send us all their rejects. I think we need to cut off all aid to other country's, Ally or not.
Back here on the home front again, our weather sucks, way too warm, but it should break by Sunday. The weather folks are saying we could have a warmer and dryer winter. I can see it now, we will and they will talk about our drought next summer and how the farmers are taking it on the chin.
Things are starting to shift into gear as far as school goes, my youngest will be a Jr this year in high school. She already has her plate full with student council, year book club and other actives. AS far me my depression is starting to kick my butt again with the lose of my uncle. My membership in CAP is due for renewal, I may renew. i have started on a 3 block series of reading about 30 chapters and quizzes in what is called Officers Basic Course, which is needed to earn my 1LT. Since I rejoined CAP I have completed Level 1, passed my Chuck Yeager Aerospace Test ( needed some years down the road tested early), attended Squadron Leadership School, passed, Received my 2LT promotion as soon as I finished Level 1, 6 month wait was weaved as I 'm a past member. I was told it will be 18 months between 2LT and 1LT, as time in grade changed. I hope I can get it in 12 months instead. My final goal is Captain as I was close before I left CAP back when I got married.
Well, my friends that is it for now. If I find time I will post again, and try to catch up with everyone.
Stay Safe...............Rob

Sorry to hear about your uncle, sir - and please forgive this late response.
no worries padre. My uncle had been in bad health for a number of years and came close to the meeting with St. Peter before. I would have loved to have seen that one. i know he is reunited with his sister, and his mom, and the other relatives from the old farm homestead. All Swedes don't ya know. i see them all sitting around drinking coffee and cookies, and laughing so hard we down here would be crying with joy.
