I Still Remember This Day.....

I was on my way to work in Eden Prairie, MN about 10 miles from MSP International airport, when the first plane hit WTC. As the day went on our world changed in a way none of us would have imagined. I found out later my friend Dave was out catering Sun Country planes, when the call came over the radio. "All personnel clear the ramp and go into the ramp office" That's when the news was broke to all employees. Air Operations are grounded until further notice. Which was for several days.

I later found out a Sun Country flight out of Boston departed after one of the high jacked airliners. The Sun Country flight landed at an Air Force base in Michigan. We still talk about today with my kids, they too will never forget.  I'm sure at some point in history the Liberals will try and erase this part of our history, as they have with almost everything else.

Stay Safe..............

I'll never forget either. I was less than a year from retiring from the Coast Guard. I saw what was going on, and knew nothing would ever be the same. Sad thing is, people ARE forgetting. They ARE trying to push this event into the back section of the history books (or trying to remove it altogether!). They ARE trying to make believe it never happened. Now, instead of preserving history in a factual manner, people are WHINING that the term "Islamic terrorist was used on a 9/11 memorial. God help us all...

Very nice tribute, Rob. We truly can not let ourselves forget what happened that day.....or why.
