Blizzard Warning TONIGHT !! Added Update

Issued: 3:02 PM Feb. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service
...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of
up to one inch expected. Winds gusting as high as 45 to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Douglas, Todd, Stearns, Sherburne and Wright Counties.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Sunday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
The cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If
you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get
stranded, stay with your vehicle.
 
Officials are asking folks to stay home tomorrow...Sunday

This says my corner of the county SHOULD only get 1 to 2...We are at 3 and its still snowing as of 915 cst

This February anyway...Interstate 90 in Southern MN is closed already. It closes so often MNDOT has installed large gates at the on ramps to keep folks off the road. I 90 closes once or twice every winter. Its flat area so the blowing drifting gets real bad

Its like trying to figure out how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop....We may never know..I have moved away from MN twice in my life and returned back home after 6 or 7 years. Why?? because its home
