Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 8:34 PM Feb. 6, 2019 – National Weather Service
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT CST THURSDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches expected. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. * WHERE...Portions of central, east central, south central and west central Minnesota. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight CST Thursday night. Most of the heavier snowfall will occur Thursday morning. Only light snow amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected tonight. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The latest road conditions for Minnesota can be found at 511mn.org and for Wisconsin at 511wi.gov, or by calling 5 1 1 in either state.
Winter is here now. Salt sales are up as everyone is still
trying to remove the ice from the other day.
Stay Warm....Rob
