I found these photos very interesting. The United States at night and the world at night.
What I find curiosity in this photo is, the lights in northwestern North Dakota. This group of lights is the oil fields. I saw several photos of night time in the U.S. but this shows the borders of our states. You can get a better idea of the location of all the major cities.
This photo you can clearly make out Europe, India, and East Asia.
Our snow banks are getting smaller each and every day. Now of course with the change in temps the spring colds have hit us once again. Wife and oldest daughter are feeling the worst of it. I too have a cold. I think I have been sick more this year then any year since 2007 when we moved to Fla. I guess I'm back to being a Minnesotian.
Staf Safe Everyone..

Interesting images.
Right now if I had to bug out, Central Montana, Central Idaho and Northeast Nevada are looking pretty good to me.
We live in southeastern Oregon...no lights. Not much of anything else either, except armed citizens.
Mike don't forget Canada as you go north from say MT,Dakotas & MN
The first thing my kids noticed when we moved back from Fla was the stars. Living in Fla around Disney we never saw them with all the lights on at night.
A quiet, starry night is awesome!
add a camp fire its just wonderful
